Sky Watch: Bromo Sunrise Moment

I’ve shared sunrise moment at Bromo captured from Kingkong Hill last week. Moving camera to the right, I saw an awesome beauty of mountainous view and caldera that still covered with thick mist.

Thick mist over caldera
A few minutes later, I saw wonderful difference.

Mount Bromo is still active and famous as a tourist attraction in East Java, Indonesia. Bromo has a height of 2392 meters above sea level and located in four regions, namely Probolinggo, Pasuruan, Lumajang and Malang Regency. The shape of Mount Bromo links between valleys and canyons with a caldera or a sand sea covering approximately 10 square kilometers. Mount Bromo has a crater with a diameter of ± 800 meters (north-south) and ± 600 meters (east-west). I’ll share the crater and how to reach it in next post.

Superb set of images!! Had you not said 'mist', I might have thought it was water as it would appear with long exposures. KUDOS!

The elevation from which you shot the first photo is perfect for capturing the mist that lingered.
