Ways to Get Glowing Hair for Women

It’s said that a woman’s hair is her crowning glory, so if yours isn’t doing you justice, don’t despair.  There are a variety of things that you can do to improve the look and feel of your hair.

Eat right.  You are what you eat!  Your hair can be a reflection of what you’re putting into your body, and increasing your fruit and veggie intake (especially those veggies as fruit seems to be a lot easier for people to consume) and reducing junk food is a great way to add gloss to your mane.  Water is another big factor; believe it or not, most of us walk around in a perpetual state of dehydration, so drink up!  You can dress that simple glass of water up with ice and a spritz of lime juice, or try adding slices of cucumber and some mint sprigs.

Get enough exercise.  You probably think of exercise as a way to lose weight or tone your muscles, but our bodies are one running unit, not several different operating parts.  If your overall health isn’t taken care of, it’ll show up in not only your body shape, but also your mood, skin and appearance of your hair.  Even a half hour brisk daily walk will set you on the right track.

A good conditioner can go a long way.  A good conditioner can help bring back shine and moisture to dry, frizzy hair, and can help protect the hair shaft from further damage brought about by daily styling or your environment.  Use a good shampoo and then add conditioner before you wrap up your shower.  After applying conditioner evenly to your hair, leave it in for a few minutes so that it can soak up all that goodness before rinsing well.  There are also a lot of leave in conditioners on the market if you prefer something that you can apply once you’ve finished showering.

Enjoy a steam shower.  This is a great way not only to de stress or recover after a workout, but will also help improve the look of not only skin but hair too!  A steam shower helps increase circulation and will remove impurities from the scalp, making it easier for your hair to grow without obstruction.  It’s one of the best ways to increase moisture and moisture retention in your hair.  This is a wonderful thing for two main reasons.  Adding moisture to the hair makes it better able to retain that shine and volume that so many women are looking for, and moisture retention means that your hair has increased elasticity, making it far less susceptible to breakage.

A combination of factors will help you attain that soft, thick, shiny hair that every woman desires.  Remember that doing a good turn for your entire body means that every part of your body benefits, including your hair.  Retaining moisture, protecting from damage by styling tools and the environment and ensuring that it has the nutrients it needs will set you on your way to a beautiful mane!
