Khaki, Out of the Office
These
ain’t your coworkers khaki slacks. In 2017, khaki is more street style than
office style. This business casual staple is being reworked in a ton of fresh
new styles. Consider a skinny khaki trouser with a raw hem, or a slouchy trench
coat.
Great
khaki utility jackets have been popping up all over the runways with unique
pocket and zipper details. A little bit polished, a little bit casual, khaki is
100% cool.
Modern Ruffles
Who
says fashion can’t be fun? Ruffles are coming back in style this year. 2017’s
take is less girly and more contemporary, so pay attention to proportions.
Balance a long ruffle adorned skirt with bare shoulders or contrast the ruffles
of your dress with a daringly low neckline.
Native American Jewelry
Add
a boho touch to your outfit with some Native
American jewelry. Extraordinary Native American silversmithing and
beadwork adds an unexpected and lovely touch to an outfit. Go full Woodstock
with bell sleeves and knee high boots, or pair a unique silver necklace with a
tee shirt and high waisted skinny jeans
for a more modern take.
In the Trenches
The
classic trench is back and cooler than ever.
Pair it with an airy vintage floral midi dress for a romantic outfit, or with a
pair of skinny jeans and a striped tee for a more gamine look. The trick to
keeping the trench totally fresh is a slouchy, slightly oversized fit. You want
the vibe to be less Sherlock Holmes, and more, Parisian It Girl.
Sports Bra as a Top
Take
the crop top to the next level with this season’s barely there bralette tops.
The bra top is the perfect excuse to lounge in the comfort of your sports bra
all day long in the name of fashion. Pair with a full, high waisted skirt for a
head turning outfit, or under a blazer for a sexy evening look. With the right
accessories you can take your sports bra from your Pilates class to the
nightclub.

Feeling Blue
From
cerulean to navy to periwinkle, blue was all over the runways this past fashion
week. One of the most universally flattering colors, adding some blue to your
wardrobe is an easy way to be on trend. For the latest take on the classic
color, do some tone on tone mixing, letting the hue of your ice blue skirt play
off of your royal blue velvet heels.
Mule Shoes
Mule
shoes creeped onto the scene at the end of 2016, and are only gaining momentum
in the coming year. With designers releasing more and more variations on the style, you’ll be able to
find a mule version of everything from a straw espadrille to a low block heel.
Adding an unconventional kick to an outfit, mules are the perfect accompaniment
for the recent resurgence of cropped wide legged denim.
