Ready to Watch Movie!

There’s no special occasion, actually. This photo was captured at home a few days ago, just a while before we left home for watching movie at the cinema. We both wore football club t-shirts. I borrowed his t-shirt, hehehe. He wore Chelsea club t-shirt, and I wore Real Madrid.

The photo session made us ten minutes late. The movie has been playing for ten minutes when we entered the movie theater. The movie was Killer Elite, an action movie that starred by Robert de Niro and Jason Statham. The film is full of fighting, killing, and other action scenes but it has good and complicated story. Though it’s not so bloody, definitely not a family kind movie.

Sweet Saturday : Comforting Food

What kind of food that can comfort your husband? My hubby loves hot, highly seasoned and spiced food. It can be vegetables, chicken, fish or anything else. If the food doesn’t have chili on it, he always needs sambal, a chili sauce.

Here are some of my husband’s favorite foods; all are spicy. He made and took pictures of it.

Weeks ago, for the first time, we visited a Middle East themed restaurant. The prices are rather expensive for us, but it’s worth as the food are tasty and the atmosphere are so enjoyable…

Sweet Saturday: Not His Taste

My husband can cook well. I can also cook, but not as well as him. By tasting a food, he knows the ingredients and all cooking spices inside. I can’t do that!

So, if he wants to eat a special food that I’ve never made before, he’ll cook it by himself and I’ll become his assistant. But everytime he cooks something in kitchen, he’ll leave the kitchen in a totally mess! Oops, I’m just a cleaner here :)

He seldom criticizes my cooking. If he likes the food, he’ll say it. But when he doesn’t like the food, he says nothing. I observe that if he doesn’t like the food taste or he thinks that the food aren’t match each other, he still eats it; but only a little. Sometimes he goes to the kitchen to fix the taste and one other time he’ll go out of home shortly. I guess he leaves home to eat other food in an eating place, hehehe.

Almost every morning, I ask him what food that he wants me to cook that day. He also often gives me a menu suggestion first. It’s an advantage for having a husband who can cook.

Well, for husbands every where, your wife is cooking food for you with love and affection. Whatever the food taste, do appreciate it. If you don’t like the food, say it nicely or say nothing…

Sweet Saturday : Keep It Coming!

According to Jona, I suppose to talk about about how to encourage my spouse’s good habits, characters or attitudes. It’s my very late entry for Sweet Saturday, it’s already Sunday night here!

I just share a little here; as I’m sleepy and still not in good mood to write more. Yesterday I heard unenjoyable news about my father’s condition that made me sad and worried a whole day.

Well, there are two good habits of my hubby that I love:
He always says “I love you” to me several times, every day.
He always hugs and kisses me before going to sleep and leaving home for work.

He has new good habits that I want him to carry on and keep:
He prefers coffee with less sugar now.
He still can’t stop smoking but he has decreased his cigarette consumption.

I don’t need to encourage him to do the first two habits; but I still remind him to keep his concistency in reducing sugar and cigarette.

Sweet Saturday : Stop It!

When a wife wants to say these words:”Stop it!” to her husband; possibly it’s about his annoying or bad habits that irritate her much.

My husband is a smoker. I really hate his smoking habit. You might ask why I got married with a smoker then. What I can say, love isn’t a logical thing, right? Until now, he still can’t stop this habit, but while he’s smoking, I don’t want nearing him.

My dream is to see him quit smoking. I have asked him several times. Everytime I ask, he’s seldom said something, and keeps smoking until now. I avoid forcing him, as I prefer to give him explanation and my arguments. But it hasn’t been successful yet. He’s ever answered once, “I want to stop, but it’s very hard”. Sigh.

The funny part is, no matter how angry you are because of his bad habits, you still love your husband…

At the Boarding Room

Last Thursday, July28th 2011, we traveled to Surabaya (East Java, Indonesia). We spent almost one week in Surabaya, at my brother’s home. Waiting for our flight at the boarding room Soekarno Hatta Airport (Jakarta, Indonesia), we chatted and took some photos. My father was sleeping.

The flight was enjoyable. We reached Surabaya in only one hour ahead.

July14th

July 14th is our wedding anniversary. The date has passed for days. Both of us forgot the date, as we spent the whole day in the hospital, accompanying and caring my father. Being days in a hospital environment made me not noticing the date. I was only aware what day was that day.

It’s almost midnight when we finally realized that the date was July 14th! In the hospital room, we were holding hands and praying together. So, there’s no any celebration this year. But it’s not the most important thing, right? Both of us were so grateful that we still can keep our marriage commitment.

I hope I can share our wedding anniversary dinner photos here, but I can’t. Here’s one silly photo of him that captured in one quiet night in the hospital. Have a great weekend, guys!

Enjoying ATV Ride

At June 4th, we hosted a family gathering that held at a cozy restaurant inside one fishing place area. After all guests were leaving happily, we've got a chance to take pictures and also try to ride an ATV. The rent fee is cheap; so, why don't we try it for the first time? Hehehe, it's fun!

You should try it with your hubby! Have a great weekend, ladies!

Sweet Saturday: Enjoying Live Music at a Cafe

In one Saturday night, we had dinner at a café that we’ve never visited before. I ordered fried rice and my hubby ordered oxtail soup. While we’re eating our dinner, a band’s crews came and started to perform.

The band played popular jazzy songs and the singer’s voice is nice to listen. We enjoyed their performance and watched the show until finished. They played several lovely songs from Sting, love it! Sorry for sharing lack of quality photos here; but you still can see our chubby cheeks, hehehe.

Sweet Saturday: Weekend Getaway to Bandung

Last month we travelled to Bandung (West Java, Indonesia). Though this city is very famous for its shopping places; that’s not our purpose. We attend a cousin’s wedding.

We reach Bandung in the late afternoon. We spent that night in a guest house near my cousin’s house. We rent two rooms; the other room was for my father.

After the wedding, we moved to my SIL’s house and spent one more night there. The next day was my father’s birthday. With nieces, nephews, SILs and my brother, we celebrated my father’s birthday by having lunch together in a beautiful eating place. After lunch, we went back home. What a nice weekend!

Sweet Saturday: Our Happy Feet

Sunday, April 17th 2011, we traveled to Mount Pancar hot water baths (Babakan Madang, Sentul Bogor, West Java, Indonesia). We didn’t enjoy the journey as some parts of the road are really bad. He must drive very carefully!

Since we also took my father, we decided to rent a family room there. My father didn’t have to walk down through the steep stairs. To reach the free hot pool, there's no other way, you must walk through those stairs.Though it’s only for one hour, our feet were so happy that day! Our photo was captured by using automatic shoot; it told how I had the tense look on my face, hehehe. I asked my husband to hurry...
