Awesome Ways to Revamp the Garden

Gardens are quite entertaining. The time and effort spent beautifying them never seems enough. If you’re after unique ways to improve your garden, read on.

Awesome Ways to Revamp the Garden

Mark is a renowned expert on property inspection. He’s currently the content lead of Safe and Sound Property Inspections. In this article, he’s going to talk about various ways to spice up your garden.

Gardening is a very relaxing hobby that has tons of benefits. Gardens can bring useful bugs, sustain medicinal plants and grow nutritious food for the homeowner. However, there are also those homeowners who simply want a beautiful and relaxing space which they can brag to their friends. Designing a garden, after all, is an art that requires patience and a keen eye. If you’re looking for ideas on how to do the same, look no further. We have a couple of examples below.

Topiaries

Topiaries are very common in modern homes. They usually adorn the entrances to homes and also abound in the garden. You can form anything you want into those evergreen plants. Common designs include geometric shapes, animals and even symbols. How are these shapes made? First, choose a plant that has a shape close to your desired design. Then, simply use topiary shears or hedge cutters and trim away until you arrive at the desired design.

Bridges

Bridges work great in any backyard that has a small pond. Decorative and real bridges can be bought online and are also available in some stores. Wooden bridges, in particular, help complement your garden design especially if you have an Asian garden. Not only are they unique, they also make nifty spots for pictorials and quick strolls.

Hedge Maze

Hedge mazes have made popular appearances in media. We see them in The Maze Runner, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Alice in Wonderland and many more. These are of course computer generated mazes. What’s more apt in gardens are miniature versions. These look very sophisticated and can catch the eye of any visitor you may have. There are all sorts of designs ranging from circular ones to the basic four-sided ones. If you do go for the circular one, it would look even better with a small fountain at the centre. That makes it all the more attractive and luxurious.

Checkerboard Design

Have you ever seen a checkerboard? It’s the one with all the black and white tiles alternating on each other. That sort of design also works on gardens. What you do is get a square area and divide it equally into either 3x3, 4x4, etc. squares. Then, you fill the squares alternately with gravel and the other, you plant with grass. The green and white combination looks absolutely stunning. If you are up for it, you can clear a square portion in the centre and turn it into a picnic area or a small pool.

If you are looking to revamp your garden, you should consider getting the house inspected and entire property inspected beforehand. Both the garden and the home might be breeding pests which could potentially disrupt your garden plans. Preventing this from happening could potentially save you tons in repair and pest control costs.
