Heal Mind, Body and Spirit for a Healthy Summer
Summer is on the way and we all want to look (and feel) great! But in order to look your best, you need to
focus on healing from the inside out. At
Master Oh we believe that
spiritual wellbeing is one of the most important components to living a full,
mindful and happy life. Follow our simple tips to improve your health and vitality
for summer!
Eat your greens
With the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to start that diet –
and we don’t mean one of those ‘fad’ diets where all you can eat is cabbage
soup. Fresh fruit and vegetables are
plentiful at this time of year, so stock up on brightly coloured vegetables
such as red and orange peppers, sweet potatoes, cucumber, spinach and lettuce
and whip up a delicious salad. For those
who don’t want to feel like they’re eating rabbit food, serving something hot
with your salad works a treat – a slice of quiche or some roast chicken is a
great way to feel like you’re treating yourself but also eating well. Try to snack on fruit or healthy items such
as carrot sticks and houmous or unsalted nuts.
By eating well, not only will you feel more energetic, but your skin
will glow and you will look great!
Get moving
If you’ve already given up on your New Year’s Resolution of going to the
gym everyday, don’t worry! Many of us
make it to spring and forget about our exercise regime – then comes the panic
of baring all on the beach this summer!
Try to find an activity that you enjoy – whether that’s long country
walks with the dog, rock climbing, swimming or jogging. Research proves that if you enjoy your
exercise, you’re more likely to stick to a regime. Why not pick an activity such as rock
climbing and get your friends involved?
Turn an evening of exercise into a girl’s night out – being with other
people will enhance your competitive streak and you’ll have a more intense
workout!
Try some therapy
No, we’re not talking about seeing a counsellor – although you can if
you want to! We mean holistic therapy –
think a long, relaxing aromatherapy massage, a blissful energy healing session
or a bespoke homeopathic remedy to finally rid you of your headaches. Battle your health demons head on and enjoy
the opportunity to relax and unwind. If
money is tight, whip up your own treatment at home – a few drops of essential
oil in your bath or blended with a carrier oil for a
massage is a great way to unwind.
In no time at all, you will be feeling fresh as a daisy, looking great
and ready for the summer.
